Change Demands Allocation

If the workshop planner realizes that a demand has been allocated to the wrong resource, they can change the allocation by changing the demand type to assign it to a new resource.

For example, if a demand is initially identified as a mechanical demand, but after diagnosis, it is revealed to be an electrical demand. The workshop planner can change the demand type to reassign it to a new electrician resource.

To change the allocation, the workshop planner can double-click on the demand or select the "edit" option from the context menu. Next, they can navigate to the Additional Data screen and change the demand type from the new drop-down list based on the data maintained in the configuration table (/DBME/WMA_CDACR).

In the rescheduling planning mode. When the demand type changes, the system automatically takes the appropriate actions below.

Assign the demand to a new foreseen resource based on the selected demand type.
Rescheduling the subsequent demand allocations accordingly.
Update the department in the SRS order and the LV group in the VSS order.

When operating in the manual planning mode, when the demand type changes:

The Workshop planner will manually allocate the demand to a new correct resource. This can be done manually by dragging and dropping the demand from the old resource to the new one or copying the demand from the old resource and pasting it to the new foreseen resource.
The workshop planner will manually reschedule the subsequent demand allocations.
The system automatically updates the department in the SRS order and the LV group in the VSS order.
