In addition to the base unit of measure, you can use alternative units of measure forparts and  and labor values. This allows you to order and purchase quantities in different units.
If you use a sales unit in the DBM order, the system stores the order quantities for the order item in the sales unit.

Prerequisites

You have updated and maintained your material master data with the alternative unit of measure, and set the alternative unit of measure as the default sales unit. The system then selects the sales unit for the next new order item from the related material master.
