With this function, the system automatically updates an option in the associated vehicle master that you have added, changed, rejected, or deleted and then saved in the order items of a DBM VSS order with the order type vehicle order. The relevant order item has an order category for which you have set the Update Vehicle Options indicator. The updating is also possible from within the vehicle master, so that the system automatically updates changes in the corresponding vehicle order when these changes are saved in the vehicle master. This ensures that the vehicle master and the DBM VSS order remain consistent.

- In the standard system, updating from the vehicle order is active. You can deactivate this function by deleting the entry with the event ORD_SAVE_PROCESS, the document category C, the control code SD, and the order control action VS_OPTIONS_UPD from the criteria table /DBMDBE/OE_EVAC_VBE in Customizing for Dealer Business Management (DBM Vehicle Sales and Service (VSS) under Order > Order Control > Define Action Control.
- You have checked that the Update Vehicle Optionsindicator has been set for the item categories for vehicle features or vehicle accessories in the Vehicle group box in Customizing for Dealer Business Management (DBMVehicle Sales and Service (VSS) under Order > Item Category > Generate Item Category for Order (the item categories P041 and P051 are provided as examples). In this way, you specify that the updating of the options is to be carried out from within the vehicle order.
Updating from Vehicle Master
- To carry out the updating from the vehicle master, you have inserted the action QOOU (Update DBM
- VSS Sales Order Vehicle Options) for the VMS2 secondary matrix (for example as ZEX2) in Customizing under Logistics Execution > Vehicle Management System (VMS) > Control > Define Action Controls and Action Matrices as follows:

- You have unset the Update Vehicle Optionsindicator in the Vehicle group box in the item categories P004 (vehicle features) and P005 (vehicle accessories) in Customizing for Dealer Business Management (DBM Vehicle Sales and Service (VSS) under Order > Item Category > Generate Item Category for Order.
Irrespective of whether you perform the updating from within the vehicle order or within the vehicle master, you have open vehicle orders or vehicle quotations. You have not yet carried out a goods movement for the relevant vehicle and the options you want to process are sales-order-relevant.
