Integration

  • Interlinked actions in VSS use the same functions as the Vehicle Management System (VMS), Warranty Processing (WTY) and Just-in-Time Processing (JIT).
  • VMS interlinked actions are available in the transaction Vehicle Master (/DBE/VM).

    Info
    titleNote
You must not use VMS interlinked actions in the VSS order. Instead, you should use the options provided in Customizing for Vehicle Sales and Service (VSS) under Order > Order Control. In other words, do not use interlinked VMS actions in these Customizing settings.

  • VMS interlinked actions are integrated in the VSS vehicle APIs, and thus also in the corresponding vehicle RFC functions.

Features

  • VMS interlinked actions consist of more than one elementary action. When the system executes an interlinked action, it starts the elementary actions contained in the interlinked action one after the other in exactly the same sequence that is defined in the interlinked action.
  • You can update the individual object data of a VSS vehicle from a VMS action.
  • You can execute VMS interlinked actions from the VSS vehicle RFC functions in Customizing for Vehicle Sales and Service (VSS) under RFC Interfaces > Function Modules > RFC VSS Vehicle.
  • You can interlink elementary actions independently of whether they are primary or secondary actions. For example, you can interlink ORD1 (Create Purchase Order; primary action) and CUOR (Create Sales Order; secondary action). It is not possible to interlink actions that are already interlinked.
