When archiving VSS data, you must consider dependencies between archiving objects. Generally, you cannot archive data until dependent objects have been archived.

Note

As soon as VSS data can be archived, the status DLT (Deletion indicator, to be archived) can be set.

Prerequisites for the VSS Order:

The preprocessing program sets the deletion flag (/DBE/VBAK_DB-LOEVM) when the VSS order has the status Closed (for example, after a billing document has been created) and the residence time has been reached.

Prerequisites for the VSS Package:

The preprocessing program sets the deletion flag when the package has the status SHOULD_BE_ARCHIVED and it is not included in any open order and any other non-archived package.
