This Fiori application enables you to get a quick overview about the parts availability situation of VSS orders.

In addition, it provides functionality to trigger procurement and on material level the possibility to reschedule confirmed quantities between VSS orders (e.g. for critical items with limited availability).

Prerequisites

General

User has in general the necessary authorization to process corresponding functionalities in the VSS order (SAP backend)
Necessary / general master data for the process are in place like material master, …
VSS order with parts item exist

App specific

Appropriate OData services are activated
User has necessary authorization to process Parts Availability App
(SAP frontend / role /DBE/PARTS_AVA_UI)
Setting for near by plant are done (optional to get additional information)
Settings for order header status Fiori icons are done (optional to see icon)

With Parts Availability App Fiori App following functionalities are supported:

Process

Depending on the role and the aim of using the app, it could be used just as information tool, e.g. for workshop planning, but also it can be used to optimize some process like parts clear procurement handling or service advisor rescheduling for high priority orders.

Search fields

Function “Procure” (overall)
Loop at all selected orders of the list and call for each the standard order engine event processing (call ORD_GET in change mode, mark all open items, call ITEM_AVAIL_CHECK, call PROCUREMENT, call ORD_SAVE. Call ORD_EXIT)
Field “Checkbox”
Flag to mark a single order line as selected.
Field “Customer & Order”
Info “customer name + ( licence plate / VSS order number )”
Field “Status
Overall status information at order header level. It shows here the “most unfavourable status in terms of availability” of all order items.

Status “posted” (green)
-> goods issue is complete posted
Status “stock” (blue)
-> goods issue is not posted, but complete quantity is at stock available
Status “purchase” (yellow)
-> quantity is not direct available, but the missing quantity is already purchased
Status “open” (red)
-> quantity is not direct available and must be purchased

Field “Type”
VSS standard order type description.
Field “Order Status”
VSS standard order header status as icon.
Field “Start”
Planned start date of the order / the appointment. Most likely just in service appointments are available.

In case of SRS based VSS order the start date is set by SRS
Else it is the VSS standard field for “drop-off date”.

Field “Priority”
New (600) VSS standard field “priority” at order header level.
Possible values empty, low (grey), medium (grey), high (yellow).
Field “Availability” (bar)
Stacked bar chart that show the number of items grouped by their corresponding availability status (see also status definition above).
Field “Last date”
Just shown in case of order status “purchase”. Shows the last date of all open purchasing items of the order. In case the date is later the planned start date, it is shown in red colour.
Field “Last item”
Just shown in case of order status “purchase”. Shows the corresponding item of “last date”. If there are more items at the same date it shows the first (lowest position number).
Function “Procure” (order level)
Call for the actual order the standard order engine event processing of procurement (details see above function “procure” (overall)).
Function “Drill down”
Call “order detail” screen for the corresponding order.

The described fields in the order list are the standard VSS delivery settings. They could be adopted by the user with the standard Fiori setting. So, the user can hide fields from the list, add additional fields or change the sequence of fields.

Function “Job quick selection”

Material view

Info header “Material”
Material number of the actual material view.
Info header “Plant”
Plant name and (number) of the plant the material view is called from (based on order item).
Info header “Stock”
Stock quantities of the plant. Show quantity of unrestricted stock and quantity of available stock.
Function “Show all”
Expand the list of shown nearby stock information to all defined / assigned groups / plant entries.
Function “Reduce (TOP 5)”
Collapse the list of shown nearby stock information to the first 5 defined / assigned groups / plant entries.
Stock list – field “Group”
Info about the name of the assigned nearby group.
Stock list – field “Plant”
Info about the plant name and number of the nearby group.
Stock list – field “Unrestricted quantity”
Info about the quantity of unrestricted stock of the corresponding nearby plant.
Stock list – field “Available quantity”
Info about the quantity of available stock of the corresponding nearby plant.
Stock list – field “ABC indicator”
Info about the frequency of use in the corresponding nearby plant – based on ABC indication from material master.
Function “Update confirmed quantity”
Function to handle the changes, defined in the order list field “new confirmed quantity” (see below). The button text shows the difference of cumulated delta in all “new confirmed quantity” fields. In addition, the button is shown red coloured if the difference is not zero.
Function can only be processed, if there are any changes in “new confirmed quantity” field and the cumulated difference is zero. Changes happens in the background always as single order relationships, also for multi order changes “in one step”.
Example: order A reduced by 3; order B, C and D each increased by 1 – changes happen like change 1 = A -1 / B +1 and change 2 = A -1 / C +1 and change 2 = A -1 / D +1
Function” Reset”
Function to clear / reset the value in order list field “new confirmed quantity” (see below) to the last stored confirmed quantity value – for all orders in the list in one step.
Order list field “ATP result”
Initial empty. Shows processing status information when function “update confirmed quantity” is done.
Order list field “Customer & Order”
VSS order customer name and in bracket the order number.

Confirmed quantity minus sum of posted quantity and PR quantity and PO quantity.

Order quantity minus sum of posted quantity and delivery quantity and PR quantity and PO quantity and quantity covered by stock.
Order list field “New confirmed quantity”
Shows initial the confirmed quantity of the corresponding order item.
With the function icons “plus” and “minus” next to the field the corresponding value can be increased / reduced. To increasing a value, another must be reduced before. The difference (comparing to the initial values / the last update is shown in the function button “update confirmed quantity” as value (see above). Multi changes within one step are possible (e.g. reduce one by 3 and three others each by one).
When the field value is like the initial value, it is shown “grey”. If it is reduced, it is shown “orange”. If it is increased, it is shown “green”.
After successful update (see also corresponding function above) the field it is shown “grey” again (new initial). If an update fails, e.g. because one order is blocked by change mode, the field keeps changed value and the colour – both for easy reprocessing option.
If changes should be undone, the function “reset” (see above) can be used.
Function “plus” / “minus” (icon next to field “new confirmed quantity”)
Change the value of order list field “new confirmed quantity” (see also above). Hold the icon pressed to speed up quantity change.
