Prerequisites

WBS type definition

WBS service call definition should be maintained in transaction /PACG/ECM_WBS - WBS (Service call) definition.

Make sure to check the type definition as ‘Active' and enable the ‘SalesActGener’ option.

The project type value corresponds to the value entered in WBS definition, tab ‘Basic data’:

Project type - default values

If no partner is maintained for a WBS element, the default customer value from transaction /PACG/ECM_SCTDF - Service call typ (WBS) - Def. values will be used.

Object assignment

The ‘WBS’ object should be assigned to a relevant plant. Make sure to maintain an entry in the following transactions:

Class assignment

Ensure that the following class assignment can be found in transaction /PACG/ECM_CLSASSIG - FSM Connector's Outgoing Messages Configuration:

Basic project example

A new project

Navigate to transaction CJ20N and create a new project.

Enter the project definition, project profile and organization data.

WBS element

Create a new WBS element.

Enter its definition and project type.

Make sure that the project type is maintained in transaction /PACG/ECM_WBS - WBS (Service call) definition.

Project Activity

Create a new project activity.

Enter its name and control key.

WBS element release

Change the status of the WBS element to ‘Release’.

The system status of the WBS element is now ‘REL’. All the activities are released as well.

Outbound idocs

Service call

Idoc of type /PACG/ECM_ITYPE_SERVICECALL (message type /PACG/ECM_WBS) is generated after WBS element release.

The business partner field is filled with value found in the WBS element’s ‘Partner’ tab.

Activity

Together with the service call, idoc of type /PACG/ECM_ITYPE_ACTIVITY_OUT is generated. The outbound activity refers to the WBS-element service call.

SAP FSM

The service call and all its activities can be found in SAP FSM in the Planning and Dispatching module.
