/PACG/ECM_VCLCNZ - New Checklist Mapping Customizing

The hereby described transaction requires additional customer development. Basic checklist instances can be easily created without additional development using the new transaction /PACG/ECM_CL_PREF - Checklist prefilling configuration. It is recommended to use the new transaction whenever possible.

The new version of checklist mapping customizing has been developed. Usage of position numbers as key fields in the previous customizing /PACG/ECM_VCLCNY lead to a significant amount of additional consultant effort. Creating a new checklist position at the beginning or in the middle of a given checklist was disrupting the whole customizing (as all the successor positions needed to be increased by 1).  In the New Checklist Mapping Customizing the position number key fields have been replaced with Elementkey ID numbers of a checklist fields.

Additionally, the new view cluster is more organized and presents data in clear way. It consists of Company configuration at the top level.  Currently the company level shows both parent and child records. In the future, if needed, an extra column showing the parent relation could be added or an additional grouping level could be implemented.

The next level: Checklist mapping customizing presents all mapped templates grouped by a company specified before. The template ID and its version are primary system identification set of keys and are linked to class/interface to enable mapping. The template name is displayed for information.

The actual mapping is defined at the tables and fields selection level. The fields from checklists (checklist’s field Ids defined in checklist template) are mapped against source data fields from source data structure (fields from specified table).

Some additional information can be defined in Additional mappings section.
