User accounts are synchronized between SAP and FSM. As such, in order to enable a mobile user, the user's account has to be prepared in SAP first, then synchronized to the Cloud, where a license can be assigned to the user. These steps are described in more details below. It is important to note, that during user synchronization, the user's SAP password is not transferred to the cloud.
Maintaining user-employee reference
You can maintain a reference between SAP user and employee personal number in order to:
assign technicians to service orders in SAP - the technician gets assigned as a personal number
log in the FSM mobile app using a username instead of the personal number
The reference between the employee personal number and the SAP username is maintained as described below:
1. Launch the transaction PA30, enter the Personal number, press Enter:
...
2. In the Info type field enter 0105, in the Subtype field enter 0001, choose the ‘Edit’ button:
...
3. In the field ID/number enter the SAP username:
...
4. Save the changes.
Adding User to configuration
You can either add Enter a personal no. or SAP username as relevant user to in transaction /PACG/ECM_MAINT_USER - E4C users with addresses.
Please ensure not to maintain both for one person. In case SAP users are maintained, please maintain info type 0105 / subtype 0001 in corresponding HR mini master of the person.
...
FSM users. After creating new entries/changing existing entries and pressing the SAVE button, all the created/updated technicians should be automatically sent to FSM. In the transaction version delivered in Add on 2105 and above, an employee (personnel number) record linked to the user is sent and updated as well.
Sending user data to cloud (relevant for older FSM Cloud Connector versions)
The manual user/employee sending should be performed if in your FSM Cloud Connector version the older user maintenance transaction is still used. After having added user account for Cloud synchronization, the user data has to be sent to the cloud. In order to do that, an FSM Cloud Connector menu should be opened (transaction code /n/pacg/ec while in SAP main menu) and Send user master option should be selected.
...
On a selection screen it is possible to select a user (or several users), whose data are to be transferred to the Cloud. Upon execution respective IDOCs and Cloud messages are sent and in effect respective users are created / inactivated in the Cloud.
Maintaining user-employee reference
It is necessary to maintain a reference between SAP user and employee personal number for the following reason: when a service order is created in SAP, it is possible to assign technicians to it. The technician gets assigned as a personal number. On the other hand, when the user logs in to the mobile application, he uses a username instead of the personal number. In order to make the service call available to the given user in My Service Calls screen, we have to assign the service call to a username, not to the personal number. In order to achieve the above, the FSM Cloud Connector Data Extractor, while generating a message for a service order (service call in the Cloud) tries to determine a username for the personal numbers entered in the service order as technicians. If the user can be determined, username is used instead of the personal number and – in effect – the service call becomes assigned to the given user in the mobile application.
The reference between the employee personal number and the SAP username is maintained as described below:
1.Launch the transaction PA30, enter the Personal number, press Enter:
...
2. In the Info type field enter 0105, in the Subtype field enter 0001, choose
...
button:
...
3.In the field ID/number enter the SAP user name:
...
4.Save the changes.

Sending employee data to cloud (relevant for older FSM Cloud Connector versions)
This step is relevant for add-on version 2102 and older. Besides sending users, it is also a good idea to synchronize with the Cloud the employee data. Employee data can be used in the Cloud as a fallback, when a given user account hasn't been synchronized to the cloud. In order send employee date to the Cloud, an FSM Cloud Connector (E4C) menu should be opened (transaction code /n/pacg/ec while in SAP main menu) and Send employee master option should be selected.
