To get an overview of all configuration steps necessary for the scenario of material reservation on technician’s storage location, navigate to Reservation on technician storage location.
This configuration tool combines and in fact replaces existing /PACG/ECM_WRHSE and /PACG/ECM_WRHOUSEO which now became obsolete. It allows to define FSM relevant warehouses, so the ones which are relevant for sending, master data, stock levels and material movements to FSM. In addition the new configuration lets defining warehouses' owners and additional owners. Assignment of technicians to their storage location is a necessary prerequisite for the Reservation on technician storage location reserved material scenario. Data transfer to FSM is automatically triggered on the ‘save’ event therefore running sending program afterwards is not necessary anymore.
(S4)PACG 200 SP11 Use the button ‘Copy to another company’ placed on the toolbar to easily copy all warehouses from one company to another. You can copy the entries without any adjustments (option ‘Keep the source plant/storage location/WBS’) or map certain properties ('Use the mapping below'). After entering the company IDs, press enter, so that the plant/customers relevant for this company are displayed in the search helps of the mapping matrix. If mapping is used, only the entries matching the ‘source’ criteria will be copied.
Plant | Relevant plant id |
---|---|
Storage location | Storage location has to be relevant to storage location which is assigned to plant |
WBS element | If plant, storage location and WBS element are entered, FSM Cloud Connector sends the warehouse ID in the following format: To learn more about WBS elements go here. |
User | Owner of storage location - this can be either SAP user name or personal number. This is relevant when setting FSM permission to "Own" for Warehouse and Warehouse Level, e.g. to limit visibility in FSM to a van stock only. In such case, technicians can consume materials only from the warehouse to which they’re assigned as owners. Assignment of technicians to their storage location is a necessary prerequisite for the Reservation on technician storage location reserved material scenario. When taking a reserved material “to own stock”, a technician can select only the warehouses to which he’s added as an owner.

GenZero | Send a zero-stock level for material which does not exist in SAP`s material master for this plant / storage. |
Send Item Asynchronous | This checkbox prevent immediately material sending after stock level change. The sending should be triggered by job for transaction /PACG/ECM_ITEMSEND_A (This is to reduce IDOC traffic from stock level changes) |
(S4)PACG 200 SP08 All techn. | For a technician to be able to consume from a given warehouse or transfer reserved materials to it, it’s necessary to add it as one of its owners. The option All techn. allows to assign all active and plannable technicians to a warehouse designated as ‘central stock’. New technicians don’t need to be added manually as additional owners, all it takes is to resend the warehouse to FSM.
Please note that the technicians are not displayed in ‘Additional owners’ tab when checkbox is enabled. Due to the limitation of the number of characters in idoc’s display transaction, all technicians in the idoc itself may not display. However, the information about all technicians is included in the outgoing xml. |
