Efforts are created on the mobile app. In order to do this, navigate to the ‘Efforts’ tab or do it directly in an activity/service call (… or + -> ‘Create Effort’).

Creating an effort using the ‘Efforts’ tab

Creating an effort within an activity

Regardless of the way, the same data must be filled.

Object

Usually an activity, service call or quotation related to the time effort

Task

What kind of task was done on customer side

Internal remarks

Can be used for any string based content which contains important information related to the effort

After filling all the obligatory data, save the effort and synchronize the mobile app.

The effort must then be approved in Time and Material Journal.

Only after approval an idoc of type /PACG/ECM_ITYPE_TIMEEFF_IN is sent to SAP. It contains information about the related activity, cloud user name and task ID.

Additional remarks are sent in the ‘E1TLINE’ segment.

Depending on the customizing in transaction /PACG/ECM_CTET - Time Effort Type, the time effort is or is not stored in CATS (e.g. transaction CAT3).

Actual work value is updated in the PM Oder Confirmation for a given activity.
