Learn how activity and service call properties in SAP FSM are mapped with service order operation/service order data in SAP ECC/S4:

Activity

SAP → FSM

FSM property

Source in SAP ECC/S4

Planned start date

If ‘DT Order Header’ set in transaction /PACG/ECM_SCTD, basic dates from service order header are used. Otherwise, operation constraints are used. If constraints cannot be found, field ‘Assignment date/time’ from /PACG/ECM_SCTD determines the date source.

  • Early – use earliest scheduled start date/time

  • Late – use latest scheduled start date/time

  • Early and late – use earliest scheduled start date/time

Planned end date

If field ‘DT Order Header’ is set in transaction /PACG/ECM_SCTD, basic dates from service order header are used. Otherwise, operation constraints are used. If constraints cannot be found, field ‘Assignment date/time’ from /PACG/ECM_SCTD determines the date source.

  • Early – use earliest scheduled finish date/time

  • Late – use latest scheduled finish date/time

  • Early and late – use latest scheduled finish date/time

The field ‘End calc. type’ in /PACG/ECM_SCTD – Service Call types definition: Overview and Detail can overwrite the end date determined based on this option! If set to ‘Add work’ or ‘Add duration’, the end date would be calculated by adding duration or work to the planned start date

Original Estimate

Operation duration

Planned duration

Operation’s work

Earliest start date

Based on setting ‘Dates alloc’ in transaction /PACG/ECM_SCTD:

  • B - basic dates - Basic start date from Service Order Header

  • S (space, default value) - scheduled dates – use earliest scheduled start date from the operation

Due date

Based on setting ‘Dates alloc’ in transaction /PACG/ECM_SCTD:

  • B - basic dates, use service order header basic finish date

  • S (space, default value) - scheduled dates – use latest scheduled finish date from operation

FSM → SAP

FSM property

Target in SAP ECC/S4

Planned start

Operation constraint start date (Earliest start/Latest start also updated)

Planned end

Operation constraint finish date (Earliest finish/latest finish also updated)

Duration

Duration updated only if ‘No work/dur’ not set in transaction /PACG/ECM_SCTD; Operation duration normal

Planned duration

Operation work activity

Due date

Service call

SAP → FSM

FSM property

Source in SAP ECC/S4

Start date

Based on setting ‘Dates alloc’ in transaction /PACG/ECM_SCTD:

  • B - basic dates - Bsc start from Service Call Header is used:

  • S (space, default value) - scheduled dates - the Earl start from the earliest operation is set as Start date:

End date

Based on setting ‘Dates alloc’ in transaction /PACG/ECM_SCTD:

  • B - basic dates - Basic fin. from Service Call Header is used

  • S (space, default value) - Latest fin from the last operation is used.

Due date

Use the finish date from service order header:

FSM → SAP

FSM property

Target in SAP ECC/S4

Start date

Service order headed basic start

End date

Service order headed basic finish, but only if the due date was not maintained in FSM

Due date

Service order headed basic finish - priority over end date if both were maintained in FSM
