Definition

The memo pad contains a summary of informative texts about the customer or vehicle.

Use

Depending on Customizing, you can display different information for different order types.
For example, when a service advisor creates a service order, the memo pad can display vehicle-related information. If the sales representative creates a quotation, the memo pad can display customer and vehicle related information, for example open quotations and customer texts.
The memo pad displays information such as:

General customer data
Open recalls
Warranties
Vehicle Service History (see Vehicle Service History)
Storage goods
Customer texts
Vehicle texts
Customer complaints

Integration

You can display the memo pad from the DBM order by choosing Environment > Memo Pad. You can make user-specific settings for the content, layout, and text attributes.
This information can also be found in the wizard (see Wizard) on the General Data tab page in the Memo Pad subscreen. In the DBM order, you can call the wizard by choosing Environment > Wizard from the menu or by choosing the Wizard pushbutton.
In Customizing for Dealer Business Management (DBM) under Customer Data Management > Dynamic Sheet, you can define content objects, styles, and layouts for the memo pad. In Customizing for Dealer Business Management (DBM) under Text Control > Control Memo Pad, you can specify which information is displayed in the memo pad.
