Since the 2108 release there is a possibility of having multiple activities linked to one service order operation. Such configuration allows multiple technicians to work on a single case represented by an operation during different times. The functionality can be switched on in /PACG/ECM_SCTD by checking new field Use ReqAssign.

This functionality uses Requirements Assignment tab in the SAP service order maintenance (iw31/32/33):

Each requirement assignment is sent to FSM as a separate activity. The activities can be displayed on the planning list to be manually assigned or automatically planned or released based on the release mechanism maintained in Release field in /PACG/ECM_SCTD.

The activities can be updated and assigned to different technicians in the FSM. As a result split information will be updated after the release. Please note that update of split/activity will not result in update of the whole operation.

After assignment of the activity in FSM, the dispatch flag is checked. Please note that setting “dispatch” flag manually in SAP does not trigger any additional logic.

Multiple activities implementation includes reserved materials handling.

  • When reservations are handled on order level nothing changes

  • When reservations are handled on the activity level, then each component is added to the first activity.

Reserved materials can be moved by user to other activities. Such an action can be done in iw32 via GOS menu (in Reservations for FSM Activities option).

The tree view with activities and reservations is displayed. The reservations can be moved and re-assigned to a different activity within the same operation by simple drag and drop. Please note that at the beginning when the reservation is assigned to the first operation it can be only moved as a whole. After the first move, it is possible to move partial quantity of the reservation.

Please note that the reservation that has been already used or partially used cannot be moved. Additionally, the reservations cannot be moved to closed activities.

The transactions Change/Display FSM Activity have been adjusted to handle and display multiple activities linked to operation - two new tabs Reserved Materials and Related activities have been added.

Please note that in order to have the additional Reservation for Activities option in GOS menu, one needs to maintain a new record in SGOSATTR in SM30 with the below data:

  • Name of service: PACG/ECM_RM

  • Description: Reservations for FSM Activities

  • Quick info: Reservations for Activities

  • Class f. Gen. Service: /PACG/ECM_CL_A_GOS_RMAT_ACTI

  • Service Type: Single Service

  • Icon: Icon_change

Please note that there are some rules and limitations related to usage of ‘Requirements assignments’ tab in service order:

  • It is not allowed to have standard activities and ‘Requirements assignments’ activities for one operation at the same time

  • First activity created to operation/ ‘Requirements assignments’ tab determines the way of proceeding with activities and this operation

  • While using ‘Requirements assignments’ tab activities, the time of all activities sums into time of operation or exceeds it

  • During checkout of split activities each activity is checked before final confirmation of operation

  • During time effort posting with automatic final confirmation set in customizing all activities for operation must have either checkout or time effort already posted.

(S4)PACG 200 SP05

  • If option ‘Use req. ass.’ is enabled in transaction /PACG/ECM_SCTD, activity assignment in FSM will result in adding a new requirement assignment tab to the related operation. The ‘person no.’ field in the operation’s internal tab will remain empty.

  • If a new activity is created and option ‘No new operation’ is enabled in transaction /PACG/ECM_SCTD, a new req. assignment entry will be created in the first relevant operation – with an FSM-relevant control key (/PACG/ECM_CKDET - Control key determination) and whose work center is not excluded in transaction /PACG/ECM_ SCTD_WCE - Service call type work center exclusion. If the option is disabled, a new operation with one req. assignment entry will be created.

  • Duplicating an activity in FSM will result in adding an additional requirement assignment entry.

  • If no requirement assignment entry exists, activity’s start and end dates are taken from operation’s constraints or, if constraints are empty, regulated by option ‘Assign. dat/tim’ in transaction /PACG/ECM_SCTD. If req. assignment entries exist, the requirements’ dates are used for activity’s start and end dates.
