/PACG/ECM_CONS_CHCK - Customising consistency check
(S4)PACG 200 SP10
This transaction is used to compare customizing entries between two companies. It allows to ensure that two companies are consistent in terms of customizing, as well as quickly identify customizing differences when integration processes for one company are not consistent with the ones for another (simply put - something works as expected for one company but not for another). It can also be used to double-check if all the relevant customizing entries were correctly copied by the program /PACG/ECM_COPY_COMP2 - Copy/delete company settings.
Company selection and output options
Start by entering the source and target companies, relevant for comparison:
The output options include:
Display empty tables (formerly Allow zero entries) | When selected, empty tables (no entry neither for the source nor for the target company) will be omitted in the comparison overview |
---|---|
Add not transport-related data | Include customizing whose content is not transportable |
Show differences only/Show identical only/Show all | Choose which tables should be included in the comparison overview, you can restrict the list only to the ones where differences were identified or the ones where entries for both companies were identical |
Included/excluded tables | Click the button to specify which tables should be excluded/included in the comparison overview.
This functionality works exactly the same (and uses the same underlying table) as described here: /PACG/ECM_COPY_COMP2 - Copy/delete company settings | Included/excluded tables (the same tables are excluded by default). You can include any Z-table containing COMPID field, by entering its name in the ‘Included’ table. It will be then relevant for comparison. |
Comparison of customizing tables
Click ‘Execute’ to display the comparison of all the relevant customizing tables (apart from the ones manually included on the previous screen, tables of class 'C' included in the FSM Cloud Connector package, which use company ID as key/part of the key):
Table name | The name of a customizing table (not view, cluster or transaction) retrieved as relevant for copy. You can click on any table name to display the existing table entries. |
---|---|
Transportable | Indicates whether a given customizing is transportable. |
Contains ORG elements | Indicates whether key fields of a given table consist of organization-specific data, i.e. sales organization, distribution channel, division, sales office, purchasing organization, personnel area, country (LAND1), company code (BUKRS), plant (WERKS_D) or currency. |
Table result | Result of comparison between entries for the source and target companies. Green square indicates no differences, yellow triangle indicates existence of differences. |
Table results - no differences
When clicking on the green square icon for a given table, a detailed comparison overview is displayed. In this case, all entries will be blue.
Table results - differences identified
When clicking on the yellow triangle icon for a given table, a detailed comparison overview is displayed.
Entries exist but non-key fields differ
If all entries with a given key exist in both companies but some of them differ when it comes to non-key values, it’s indicated by a ‘not equal’ symbol:
In case of more complex entries, you can use the button ‘Compare entries’ to quickly identify specific differences:
Entries exist only in the source company
Entries existing in the source company but not in the target one, are displayed in the top part of the screen as red and contain a ‘minus’ symbol:
Entries exist only in the target company
Entries existing in the source company but not in the target one, are displayed in the bottom part of the screen as green and contain a ‘plus’ symbol:
