/PACG/ECM_BP_ADDR - Address Determination for Business Partners

(s4)PACG 200 SP14

This transaction is used to customize address determination and storage for customers and vendors:

  • specify how address sent to SAP FSM will be determined - including source and address type

  • specify how address created in FSM will be stored in SAP ECC/S4

Address sent to FSM

Use the field ‘Address source’ in the ‘Address Determination Settings’ tab to specify how addresses relevant for transfer to FSM would be determined.

When selected, make sure to verify the ‘Partner Functions’ tab (it incorporates fields from /PACG/ECM_CCUST - General customizing for Customer).

SOLD-TO and SHIP-TO will always be used for address determination by default. BILL-TO or PAYER can be used only if they’re entered in field “Role for BILLTO”. Partner functions BILL-TO or PAYER can only be sent as addresses of type “bill to”. For partner functions SHIP-TO or SOLD-TO you can decide if their address should be sent to FSM as type “bill to” or “ship to”.

When Business Partners are not used on a system (see the field ‘Business Partner functionality enabled’ in /PACG/ECM_CPROP - General Properties of FSM Cloud Connector), addresses are always determined based on partner functions, regardless of the ‘Address Source’ selection.

An additional prerequisite for transferring addresses based on partner functions - customer is sales area-dependent (/PACG/ECM_SAASG - Sales Area Assignment) - no entry for customer in /PACG/ECM_NOAS - No Object Assignment.

  • BP Addresses - Business Partner addresses are sent to FSM

Use the tab ‘BP Address Types’ to specify which address types are allowed for FSM and which FSM address types they should be assigned to (bill-to, ship-to, other). ‘Standard’ addresses are sent as ‘default’ to FSM.

Addresses expired after transfer to FSM are not automatically deleted from there.

Address created in FSM

You can decide whether addresses created for Business Partners in FSM should be stored in SAP ECC/S4 by adjusting the ‘Address from FSM’ setting in the ‘Address Detemination Settings’ tab:

  • Store - inbound addresses will be saved in SAP ECC/S4

    • When Business Partners are enabled (see the field ‘Business Partner functionality enabled’ in /PACG/ECM_CPROP - General Properties of FSM Cloud Connector), the addresses will be stored as BP addresses, based on the mapping provided in the ‘BP Address Types’ tab.

      • If more than one relevant entry is found, the first found one is used. If none found, an error is thrown.

      • ‘Default’ addresses are saved as ‘standard’ in SAP.

      • If only one address of a given type is allowed in SAP, then the validity date of the former one ends and the new address becomes the only valid one

    • When Business Partners are disabled:

      • Addresses for Vendors will be stored only in a dedicated table - /PACG/ECM_BPOADR. Data from this table can be used by custom implementation of address storing.

      • Addresses for Customers will be stored in a new customer created during inbound processing of an address. The customer is then linked to the original customer via a partner role. If customer creation fails, the address is stored in the /PACG/ECM_BPOADR table.

Entries from the dedicated table can be periodically deleted with /PACG/ECM_DEL_BPOADR - Delete table /PACG/ECM_BPOADR.

  • Don’t store - inbound addresses will not be saved at all
