You can use this function to check stock and display a stock overview for the current plant, a nearby plant, or an external system.

Integration

You can display this stock information on the Procurement subscreen of the Parts tab page of the VSS order.

Prerequisites

In Customizing for Vehicle Sales and Service (VSS) under Part > Stock Information, you have:

• Defined search keys and their descriptions for the stock inquiry.

You can then use these search keys for the purpose of creating a relationship between plants (see next prerequisite) and thus restrict the stock inquiry for a part in the VSS order to the plants that you choose.

• Assigned search keys and nearby plants.

The relationship between plants that you define restricts the stock inquiry for a part in the VSS order. If you do not make any settings here, the system calls transaction code MMBE without any restrictions.

Features

You can use this function to:

• Check stock in your own plant

The system checks the stock in the current system.

• Check stock in nearby plants

The system checks the stock in the plants you have defined as being nearby in the Customizing activity Assign Search Key and Nearby Plants.

• Check stock in all plants

The system checks the stock in all the plants that have been entered in the system.

• Check stock in an external system

By means of BAdI /DBE/BADI_STOCKQUERY BAdI: Stock Information from External System, the system checks the stock in an external system.
