Working with the Customer Cockpit
The Customer Cockpit is a workcenter for sales representatives. You can use the Customer Cockpit for various customer activities. These activities include the following:
- Create and Update the Customer Master
You can create a new customer, and update existing customer data.
- View Customer Details
You can view all important customer information in one central location. You can view all VSS-relevant data, as well as credit information.
- Document a Customer Visit
You can document customer visits efficiently. For example, you can quickly create a sales activity. You can describe the activity in the activity header, and define a follow-up task, such as Call Customer Back. You can assign a person who is responsible for the follow-up task, and specify a date for when the person responsible must complete the task.
- Create a Model Quotation
You can create a model quotation to offer a specific vehicle model to a customer. You can create a model quotation in the Customer Cockpit. The system calls transaction /DBE/ORDER01. You select a model sales code, and create the quotation for the customer.
- Quickly Create a Customer
You can quickly create a customer. You can do this, for example, when creating model quotations. You enter the customer name and address data, and the system automatically completes the customer sales and company code relevant data.
- Create a Vehicle According to Customer Requirements
In the Customer Cockpit, you can create a vehicle to reflect the requirements of the customer. You can define vehicle options for the vehicle, such as leather seats, and you can assign a customer to the vehicle. You can also create any relevant follow-up processes. For example, you can create a vehicle quotation, or a vehicle sales order.
