4.2 Add private Business Partner (Contact Person)
The user can add a CP with two ways:
- Navigation Bar- plus sign
- Grid List
Add CP from Navigation Bar
When the sales person is adding a BP from the Navigation Bar, is prompted to choose the type of the BP, Company or Private. If Private is selected the relevant page is loaded. After filling-out the required fields, and saving, the BP and the CP are created.
Add CP from Grid List
The user can navigate to the CP grid list and then choose to Add a CP from the () button on the top, among () and () the CP main page is loaded and after filling-out the required fields, the CP is created. The CP main form is different from the BP main form, however there are specific fields that are mandatory for certain business scenarios.
Mandatory fields in the Contact Person page
Title: used in forms, printing documents, and it is shared with VSS.
First Name, Last Name: Required for communication purposes (notifications), printed documents and shared also with VSS
Type: Customer, Lead, Vendor
Lead is a value initially taken for any new BP type Company
Customer is a value that is taken either by selecting the action → Change Type to Customer or from the external function: → ODP_ConvertBPToCustomer when used in the workflow.
Vendor is a value used when there is a car purchase transaction in the system.
Financial Group: defines whether the transaction is generated in the country, or outside the country
VAT Business Group: defines the VAT regime (low, exempt, normal, etc..)
Sales Price List: the price list to be used in the Offer or in the Order for Car sales.
Address: the home or the work address of the CP. In both Private or Company BP type the addresses are linked always to the main Contact person.
The above fields are required to filled-out when the CP is linked to a private BP.
