The following customizing steps should be performed to enable WBS element integration:

WBS service call customizing

The service call-relevant project types are maintained in transaction /PACG/ECM_WBS - WBS (Service call) – Definition. WBS elements with the specified project type will be transferred to SAP FSM as service calls.

WBS activity customizing

The FSM activity-relevant project types are maintained in transaction /PACG/ECM_WBSAC - WBS (Activity) – Definition. WBS elements with the specified project type will be transferred to SAP FSM as FSM activities.

Plant assignment

Specify which plant is relevant for WBS element service calls.

First, make sure that, in transaction /PACG/ECM_EOAS - Object Assignment, object ‘WBS’ is assigned to ‘Plant’, as shown below:

Priority mapping

WBS elements can be assigned specific priority:

To specify which SAP FSM priorities correspond to them, use transaction /PACG/ECM_PSPRIOMAP - WBS (Service call) - Priority mapping:

Partner determination rule

Service call and activity WBS elements require partner functions such as ‘Sold to party’ (most often used as the service call’s customer) or ‘Person responsible’. To enable the ‘Partner’ tab for WBS elements, create a partner determination procedure and assign it to the project.

Partner determination procedure can be maintained in transaction SPRO:

Scheduling

To enable proper WBS element update based on WBS activity update in SAP FSM, it might be necessary to define parameters for WBS scheduling. This can be done in transaction SPRO.

Project types

Project type descriptions can be modified in transaction OPSO. In the hereby described test flow, service call-relevant WBS elements are assigned to project type ‘Service call WBS’, and FSM activity-relevant WBS elements to project type ‘Activity WBS’.
