Example - Handling of Missing Handover Articles

You deal with handover articles in the system by using options/features in the model and vehicle master.
The following example clarifies how missing handover articles are handled during the purchase of used vehicles:

  1. Model Master (as template):
    Model: XYZ
Missing door keyEUR 100
Missing service bookletEUR 150
Missing radio key

EUR 80

The model master contains the model XYZ. For this vehicle model, there is a list of expected handover articles, including the price reductions if the articles are missing.
Provided the option (article) has been defined as relevant to copying, the system copies this data from the model master to the vehicle master when you create a used vehicle (vehicle business transaction USC: Used Vehicle). If a vehicle already exists in the system, you must add the missing handover articles manually.

2. Vehicle Master (containing the data copied from the model master or added manually):
Vehicle VIN 4077

Missing door key

EUR 100
Missing service booklet

EUR 150

Missing radio keyEUR 80

You make manual adjustments according to which articles are missing or not.

3. Vehicle Master (changed by user):

Vehicle VIN 4077EUR 6000
missing door keyEUR 100x
missing service bookletEUR 150

The EUR 6000 represents the trade-in price, provided the vehicle comes complete with all articles.

A door key is missing, but you have set the Not PO Relevant flag for it because this is deemed to be irrelevant to the purchase order. The price of the vehicle is therefore not reduced by the cost of the key.

The service booklet is missing, and relevant. The price of the vehicle is therefore reduced by the cost of the service booklet.

You have removed the radio key from the list as it is not missing.

Provided you have set the indicator defining the articles as relevant to the purchase order, the system copies this data to the purchase order when the latter is created.

4. Purchase Order (created on the basis of the vehicle master):

Vehicle VIN 4077EUR 6000
Missing Service BookletEUR 150

The final price contained in the purchase order would be EUR 6000 minus EUR 150 = EUR 5850.
