This function provides the costs that remain on the header internal order. During the life cycle of a Vehicle Sales and Service (VSS) order all costs are collected and parked on the header internal order. In the VSS process, costs and revenues are mostly realized at different times. Normally the costs on the header internal order are zero. During the period-end closing process, it is possible that there are costs on the header internal order and the balance is not zero. These costs remaining on the order represent the work in process (WIP).

The WIP calculation is part of the standard Controlling in VSS.

Features

During period-end closing, you check the balance of the VSS order. The costs that remain on the internal order are the WIP. These will be posted to Financial Accounting (FI) and reposted to the VSS order at the beginning of the next period.
