System Translation- Import

SAP Menu > Tools > ABAP Workbench > Utilities > Translation > System translation > /DBME/TMA_IMP - Translations - Import

Transaction: /DBME/TMA_IMP - Translations – Import

After review, the translation data should be imported into system using the “ST – Import” tool.

The following points should be checked before file import:

• Structure of the data file should not be changed;
• Length of translation text should not exceed the maximum allowed number of characters (please filter records with exceeded length via special column “!”).

Below are explained:

Input parameters

Select the source and target languages the same as in Export step:

Choose the Translation XLS-file:

Using Additional Option “Deletion allowed” user can remove the existing translation using System Translation.

When “Deletion allowed” is empty then translations of excel entries with empty translation in Target language are not processed – they stay unchanged in the system.

When “Deletion allowed” is selected x then translation of excel entries with empty translation in Target language are deleted from the system.

When the ‘Text correction’ checkbox is marked x, the program will allow to make import from the same language (for example src: EN and trg: EN) and make a correction in the field according to the excel file.

Execute transaction

Click on Execute to run the transaction. After the file reading run the info pop-up will be shown:

Click on Continue button. The uploaded translation data will be shown:

The Details button can be used to review the selected data:

Select the lines that should be saved (or select all lines):

After click on Save the confirmation pop-up will be shown:
