Specify movement types relevant for specific reserved material/unplanned consumption scenarios. The movement types are defined at the company/service order level.

Field usage in the context of reserved material scenarios

LONG LABEL Long labels are used in view cluster service call type definition transactions (e.g. ), in tab “Materials settings”.

Material consumption

A relevant movement type for material consumption is determined based on the type of the material’s warehouse (idoc field ‘WAREHOUSE’). If the warehouse is a special stock, special stock type is considered as well.

Take to own stock

A relevant movement type for stock transfer is determined based on the type of the material’s source warehouse (idoc field ‘FROMWAREHOUSE’) and/or the type of the target warehouse (idoc field ‘TOWAREHOUSE’). If the warehouse is a special stock, special stock type is considered as well.

Transfer cons. | LONG LABEL Mvt for SD ResMat transfer to consig #2

If a technician has a consignment stock and takes the material to own stock, two steps are necessary. The first one for transferring to any standard storage location in the plant (field MT Rmat SC). The second step is transfer to the technician’s consignment stock (this field).  In SAP there’s no movement type allowing a one-step transfer from consignment to consignment.

Movement DC ST | LONG LABEL Mvt for DC transfer

If a part or some parts of what was delivered cannot be used, then it’ll be moved to the technician’s storage location. From direct consumption to Standard Stock of the technician.

MM movement 1 | LONG LABEL Mvt for MM ResMat cons./transfer #1

Relevant for the MM reserved material scenario. Movement entered this field will be performed after material consumption in SAP FSM. After stock transfer, two goods movements are necessary. The first one from this field, and the second one from field 'MM movement 2'.

MM movement 2 | LONG LABEL Mvt for MM transfer #2

The second MM movement for stock transfer in the MM reserved material scenario. See the field above.

ResMat creation* | LONG LABEL Source for Reserved Material creation

*OLD LABEL ResMat Type

The field represents the reserved material type set for a specified order type in a specified company and can manage component creation in the /PACG/ECM_ARMAT table.

The available reserved material types include: Purchase order, Component, None and Component at once. These names don't fully convey the meaning of these options. The ‘From purchase order’ type requires a badi (mdoc_rmat_aufnr_det). In general if the service order number field length is equal to 12, it means it's an AUFNR value, which makes it clear that the order with a stock movement coming in is relevant for the RMAT table and to which order exactly. A new entry is made in the RMAT table once there's a material movement. After delivery to the purchase order an entry in the RMAT table is created but only of type ‘N' or ‘S'. This configuration is similar to the 'Do not create’ (OLD LABEL 'None') option – where no reserved material is used. For standard users, 'From order components’ (OLD LABEL 'Component at once') is the recommended setting, other options would block updates of the RMAT table. The 'Component' option is deprecated.

Res. Mat. Text | LONG LABEL Comp. receip. to filter ResMat creation

Enter a free text to filter service order components from sending as reserved material. You have to put the same text to field "Goods Recipient" in service order component that it is sent as reserved material to cloud.

(S4)PACG 200 SP07 ReservedDisp | LONG LABEL Res. Mat. sent only for dispatched oper

When enabled, reserved materials and batches will be sent to FSM together with service calls only if any FSM-relevant operation in that service order is dispatched (has a technician assigned). FSM-relevant means:

  • operation’s control key is active in

  • operation’s work center is not excluded in

This helps avoid unnecessary idoc traffic.

(S4)PACG 200 SP08

If reserved materials are created on activity level (), only the operation to which a component is assigned will be checked, not all of them. If that specific operation has no technician assigned, its reserved materials won’t be transferred to FSM.

Dummy material | LONG LABEL Dummy mat. used if cons. mat. not found

If it's not possible to recognize a reserved material number from an inbound IDOC, it is possible to set a dummy material. A document will be posted with this dummy material, together with the quantity from the IDOC.

Mat. determin.

If a special procedure for material document posting is needed, it is possible to insert this procedure to reserved material process (example:  use material X but material Y will be posted)
