Vehicle Service History

Service advisors can find all the important information regarding a vehicle in the service history. This information includes the vehicle's mileage, all inspections, warranty cases, repairs, and collision damage. The following lists examples of when you can use the service history:

• When you schedule an appointment to service a vehicle
• When the customer trades in their used vehicle for a new vehicle
• When you sell used vehicles
• When you service used vehicles for walk-in customers

Prerequisites

• You have activated the BC Set Settings for VSS Service History (/DBE/VSS20_AFTERSALES, /DBE/VSS20_VEHICLES and /DBE/VSS20_BASIC_SETTING) in your client.
• In Customizing for Vehicle Sales and Service (VSS) under Order > Job Type > Define Job Type, you have defined various job types for categorizing jobs in service orders, for example as inspections, repairs, or collision damage.

Features

The following functions are available:

• The service history shows all the service orders created for a specific vehicle, categorized according to job type. You can enter a job type in the following function:
  
  • You can enter a job type when creating jobs in service orders.
• You can navigate to each service order from the vehicle service history.

Activities

You can see a vehicle's service history in the Service History detail view of the vehicle master or in the wizard (see Wizard) on the Memo Pad tab page.
