Reservation on technician storage location

This scenario is used when reservation is created on technician's storage location and no advanced shipment is necessary.

The component uses storage location of the technician (technician added as owner in /PACG/ECM_WRHSE - FSM warehouse & additional owners) and IC "L" is entered. The ‘quantity’ value can be found in FSM and the ‘shipped’ value is always 0.

Parts must be available on the van, since there’s no check

Customizing prerequisites

Reserved material creation

Make sure that the ‘RMAT’ object is assigned to the relevant plants for your company. Otherwise reserved materials can’t be transferred to FSM.

Check in /PACG/ECM_VSCTD - Service Call types definition if field ResMat Creation (long label Source for Reserved Material creation) is set to ‘From order components’ for proper reserved material creation.

Add the following movements types in transaction /PACG/ECM_IWLON - Goods Movement - send online:

Make sure that technicians are added as owners to their van stocks in /PACG/ECM_WRHSE - FSM warehouse & additional owners:

With proper customizing, an entry with process type R should be created in table /PACG/ECM_ARMAT for a given reservation.

In transaction /PACG/ECM_VSCTD - Service Call types definition, tab Materials settings, fill in the following fields:

In transaction IW31, components tab, enter material, quantity, item category “L” and storage location and plant. Remember, this storage location has to be assigned in transaction /PACG/ECM_WRHSE - FSM warehouse & additional owners to your technician. No more steps are necessary, technician has material on own stock (e.g. car).

Material consumption

The process is the same as material consumption without reserved material because of a standard technician storage location.

Take to own stock

Technician has to be an owner of the storage location in FSM (see /PACG/ECM_WRHSE - FSM warehouse & additional owners, main user or additional owner):
