/PACG/ECM_SC_GR – Group/region for service calls/activities

Object group (territory)

Set the object for grouping of service call with the personnel (employee). With this, you could send person / order having territory. Note: In CS, there is a person assignable to planner group, but there is no such relation in CS standard, and would be customer specific. Grouping defined separately for technicians and service orders. By default, technicians should group by work centre or a country and region, other grouping options can be implemented using BADI.

The result is as below (after assignment of personnel to work center and sending it to FSM).

Note: With transaction IR02  HRMS, assign the personnel to the respective work center.

Use /PACG/ECM_TRIG_GRPWC - Work center as Group to send the work center and its related personnel to FSM.

Object region

FSM feature ‘Planning Scenarios’ allows users to restrict activities displayed in the planning list and technicians on the planning board based on a chosen, customizable region. Specify which object (e.g. address region of the customer/work center) should be used as FSM Region for activity filtering. After selecting a region source, transfer regions with one of the following transactions: Send -> Regions Learn more: Transferring regions from SAP to FSM The region assignment will be filled for all activities sent to FSM, based on the hereby selected source.

The possible sources of regions:

  • Address region - represents geographical regions. Regions for activities are determined based on order’s customer’s country/region.

  • Work center - represents work centers. Regions for activities are determined based on order’s header’s work center.

  • Work center from operation - represents work centers. Regions for activities are determined based on activity’s operation’s work center.

(S4) PACG 200 SP14 If the work center of an operation changes due to reassignment of an activity to another technician (belonging to another work center), then the activity region is redetermined. The former region from FSM is overwritten with a new one determined for a new technician.

  • No object - do not transfer any regions, neither as region objects, nor as activity property

For region selection, you can also implement BAdIs /PACG/ECM_CL_S_BADI_REGION_AR, /PACG/ECM_CL_S_BADI_REGION_PG or /PACG/ECM_CL_S_BADI_REGION_WC.

(S4) PACG 200 SP11 Region determination is also supported by notification task-based activities (see Service notification based service calls ‘Work center’ and ‘work center from operations’ in this case retrieve the notification’s header’s work center (there’s no work center on task level). Region is determined from activity’s customer.

Please be aware that in case we overwrite the region on the FSM side, then during the notification save the region gets the default value and the FSM input is lost. It works in the same way for service order-based activities.

Users can be assigned to regions with the /PACG/ECM_P_GR - Group/region for technicians – Group object for technicians transaction.

Maintain both settings in the same manner (the same values - 'Work center' or ‘Address region’ in both SC_GR nad P_GR transactions).

Once a work center has been sent using a send program, a set of /PACG/ECM_IS_REGION idocs is generated, including code, name and description of the newly created regions. Regions appear in FSM, in general settings.

No action is conducted after activity change from FSM. Region value is taken from an incoming idoc if the activity was created in FSM and only changes in the backend can later affect the region (region update from FSM is overwritten by the backend). If there's no value specified in an incoming idoc, the region is determined according to the /PACG/ECM_SC_GR – Group/region for service calls/activities transaction.

Include Hierarchy (S4)PACG 200 SP15

If the option is enabled, the parent of given Work Center (if exists) is determined and sent to FSM as a parent region. Option is available only when Object Region is ‘Work Center’ or ‘Work Center from operation’.
