Available-to-Promise Check at Storage Location Level

You can customize the available-to-promise (ATP) check at storage-location level in Sales and Distribution.

In Sales and Distribution, if a storage location is maintained at item level, you can perform the ATP check against the available stock in the storage location.
Information for the backorder process:

• If the material is storage-location relevant, you can redistribute quantities in the same storage location.
• If the material is storage-If the material is storage-location relevant, the system displays the storage location in the list.

If you do not want to perform the ATP check at storage-location level, you can make settings in Customizing for Sales and Distribution under Basic Functions > Availability Check and Transfer of Requirements > Availability Check > Availability Check with ATP Logic or Against Planning > Configure Scope of Availability Check.
