VIN duplication on brand level

In the automotive industry VIN is globally unique but in other industries several manufacturers may use the same VINs for their vehicles/machines.

You use this function to allow several vehicles to have the same Vehicle Identification Number (serial number).

Duplicate VINs should only be rejected for the same manufacturer (VMAKE).

Parameter /DBE/V_VIN_VMAKE should be set up in the customizing (for more details please see VSS Configuration Guide).
