Stock/non-stock distinction for reserved materials in FSM ('L'/'N'/'V')

(S4)PACG 200 SP05

It is possible to differentiate between stock and non-stock materials in SAP FSM. This applies to materials which were not yet shipped (process type ‘R’ in table /PACG/ECM_ARMAT).

If a component of type L or N is added to a service order (only plant assigned, therefore not reservation on technician’s storage location):

it will be reflected in table /PACG/ECM_ARMAT as shipment type ‘L’ or ‘N’ for process type ‘R’.

In older FSM Cloud Connector versions, the shipment type would be empty.

If stock and non-stock items should be differentiated in FSM reserved materials, make sure to create a special stock of type ‘Non-stock material’ in transaction /PACG/ECM_WRHSP - Special Stock.

With the customizing above, the example material will be displayed as two separate entries in SAP FSM reserved materials, instead of one combined:

Components reserved for technician’s storage location in service orders (both plant and storage location added), will be added to table /PACG/ECM_ARMAT with shipment type ‘V’ and process type ‘R’ (previously the shipment type would be empty). Special stock doesn’t have to be marked as type Van Stock for this result.
