Notifications as service calls

FSM Cloud Connector supports the following sources of service calls:

  • Service/PM orders

  • Network orders

  • WBS elements

  • Service/PM notifications

In the last approach, service/PM notifications are used as FSM service calls and their tasks as FSM activities.

 

 

Support for activities from PM notification tasks was introduced in SP08 of add-on 200 (2302). Please note that notification creation based on service call creation in FSM is not supported neither for PM nor for service notifications.

In order to use notifications as service calls, the following customizing steps must be maintained:

Plant/sales area assignment of object SNOTC

Depending on whether plant or sales area assignment is used for object SNOTC in transaction /PACG/ECM_EOAS - Object Assignment, maintain plant or sales area assignment for a relevant company.

Notification types relevant for service call transfer to FSM

In transaction /PACG/ECM_VSCTDQ - Service call types (SN) definition maintain notification types relevant for service call transfer to FSM. Make sure to mark them as active and select ‘GenFSMActivity’/'Generate FSM Activity'.

 

Then transfer them to FSM with transaction /PACG/ECM_SCTMASTER - Service Call Type.

 

Service call status

In transaction /PACG/ECM_SCSTD - Status of Service Call maintain notification status relevant for service call transfer and activity generation.

 

Planning plant or planning plant

In transaction /PACG/ECM_SNOT_GENER – General properties specify which notification plant should be considered for service call transfer.

 

Task codes relevant for activity generation

In transaction /PACG/ECM_TGDEF - Task codes activation specify which notification task codes and groups are relevant for activity generation and transfer to FSM.

 

Responsible person task role for activities dispatched in FSM

In transaction /PACG/ECM_VSCTDQ - Service call types (SN) definition specify the task role meant for storing technician data, after activity assignment in FSM.

 

Task code update after activity assignment

In transaction /PACG/ECM_TCDET - Task code determination enter how code groups in a notification should be adjusted after activity assignment in FSM.
