Equipment data Synchronization
The Equipment Data Synchronization is developed to synchronize vehicle related data with equipment data used in VSS Rental Solution. The main logic behind that solution is to create mapping between source and target fields and characteristics as well as values.
The available Targets and Sources are listed below:
Targets:
C - Equipment class and characteristics
F - Equipment fields
Sources:
VC – VMS Config
MC – Material Class
VM – Vehicle Model
MF – Material master data field
VG – Vehicle General Option Group
VO – Vehicle options
VF – Vehicle master data field
There are two different ways to run data synchronization:
Automatic synchronization - triggering synchronization by running VSS action. List of triggering actions is customizable.
Manual synchronization – running synchronization report /DBE/ITOB_EQUI_MAP, which gives possibilities of equipment selection for synchronization in two different frames: vehicle frame and equipment frame.
Prerequisites
The following prerequisites are required for equipment data synchronization process:
Material master record is created with assigned material classes.
Vehicle model and Vehicle master data are created.
Equipment class and characteristics are created.
Copy rule and equipment classes are assigned to Vehicle sales code.
Triggering actions are defined for automatic synchronization,
Field and values mappings are maintained.
Process
The process flow of equipment data synchronization is as follow:
Definition of copy rules and assignment to vehicle sales code.
Creating of mapping between source and target fields and characteristics.
Creating of mapping between source and target values if a value ranges between source and target fields deviates. In case if system does not find such mapping, it will try to make 1:1 copy of value from source field.
Define VSS actions for triggering of synchronization.
Run VSS action or manual synchronization report to start a synchronization process.
