Rental Fleet Management – CMF Intergration

 

This function enables to send notifications using functionalities of Communication Framework module in order to notify customers about upcoming contract expiry as well as informing rental clerk about serial number update or created inquiry from Rental online portal

In Rental app customizing, you can define due dates for sending notification to customers, to define who are the recipients of notifications, and also what are trigger points for each notification.

Prerequisites

  • Necessary customizing is done from Communication Framework side such as task, etc.

  • User has necessary authorization to receive internal notification

Features

Within Rental - CMF the following functionalities are supported:

  1. Contract expiry notification prior to one day

  2. Contract expiry notification prior to one week

  3. Contract expiry notification prior to one month

  4. Quotation creation from online portal

  5. Serial number change notification to the rental clerk

Process

 Depending on the settings you make in Customizing, the process flow may be as follows:

  1. You create a contract with the contract end date

  2. The contract end date is checked against the system date and if it falls within the defined due dates, then notifications are sent to the email address of the customer

  3. Customer logs in to online rental portal and creates inquiry and this information is stored also in SAP as inquiry. As soon as document is generated in SAP, rental clerk receives notification about it.

  4. When serial number is changed by warehouse employee, this information is automatically sent to the rental clerks with the specified role.
