The rental addons can be defined in the VSS->Service-> Service Resource Scheduling->Customer Portal->Rental ->Addons ->Define Addons IMG node.
The addons are used to define additional rental items or services that are proposed or automatically added during the rental process. Every addon specified during the rental process is added as a sub-item of the main rental item. The individual addons are always assigned to a group. A group can be set to be either:
Implicit, meaning that user cannot influence selection. For example, age excess.
Required, meaning that user must select one or more of the individual addons from the group.
Optional, meaning that user can freely select one or more of the addons from the group.
On the individual addon definition it’s possible to set display order, header text, description and an additional description to be read from a HTML template.
Addons determination is based on the lean condition technique. The aim of the determination is to establish:
Available Addon codes
Material codes
Default and maximal quantities.
The required and optional addons are displayed after the vehicle selection for user to choose from.
