Work time
Business context
Recording of specific time reservations for non-work hours is required for both the supervisor (planner) and the technician. For instance, if the technician is unavailable due to sickness, they can either enter the worktime themselves or request the supervisor to register their unavailability time.
Functionality
Standard SAP FSM functionality allows the submission of non-work hours directly from SAP FSM Workforce Management (WFM) or through the FSM mobile app. These entries are processed by the SAP VSS-FSM connector and entries created directly in CATS timesheet.
Once synced, we will see an inbound IDoc like below for the worktime.
Note: The time entry from the above IDoc is always with ‘Z’ at the end indicating UTC time. This depends on the SAP FSM cloud location. The test location of the user is at UTC+8 hence the entry above shows TIMEZONEID. The entry in CATS timesheet is then updated with time from 09:00 to 13:00.
The below entry was created by the VSS-FSM connector from the inbound IDoc from the above.
The activity type “FSMSIC” in the CATS timesheet entry is obtained from the master data entry below (from transaction /DBE/FSM_LCM_TSP - Time Split determination)
Note: The entry above, time “From/to” or “Dur from/to” does not matter, hence it is all 00:00.
