Maintain Order Search Variants
Usage
With this transaction is possible to set default values in the Variant Order Search Screen. This will help the Service Advisor to easily identify Orders according to the parameters customized in the SAP backend. Is it possible to set variants within the standard Order Search Tab or with specific enhancement spot (BAdI) when needed.

Maintain settings
To create a new Variant, select "New Entries" and provide following entries in the table:

Variants | With this tab we can set the Variants available for the MSA Application. |
Variant ID | Set the Variant name. This is a key field. |
Var. Type | Selection of Variant. We can set two type: DBE_OSVAR: variant derived from the setting with defaulted values coming from the transaction: /DBE/ORDER – Tab Order Search. CUSTOM: custom variant with values coming from BAdI if implemented on customer installation |
Variant | Selection of the Variant. After saving a Variant in /DBE/ORDER – Order Search Tab, will be available for selection. |
User | This field will be automatically populated after Variant Selection. |
Active | Determines whether the Variant will be visible or not. |
Variant Description | Text field where to set the description shown in the MSA Application for the Variant. |
Setting a Variant with default values to sort open order for the day, can be helpful. Doing so the Service Advisor can have a quick overview of the orders scheduled for the day.
